Executive Coaching & Mentoring

Facilitating Excellence in Leadership & Management

The Competitive Advantage of Executive Coaching

Many high-level executives often grapple with the belief that seeking coaching might be unnecessary or even embarrassing. Common limiting beliefs include thoughts such as “I should already know everything,” “Needing help is a sign of weakness,” or “What will others think if they find out?”

As someone who has held several high-stakes positions in my professional corporate career, I understand these concerns deeply. However, it’s important to recognize that executive coaching is not about filling gaps in competence but about unlocking greater potential and achieving even higher levels of success. Through coaching, you can gain fresh perspectives, overcome challenges, and refine your leadership skills, ultimately driving both personal and organizational growth.

Executive coaching provides a unique opportunity for introspection and personalized development that cannot be matched by traditional training programs. It helps in identifying blind spots, enhancing decision-making capabilities, and fostering a growth mindset. By investing in coaching, executives can cultivate a more resilient and adaptive leadership style, essential in today’s rapidly changing business landscape. Moreover, the confidential nature of coaching ensures a safe space for honest dialogue and strategic thinking, empowering executives to lead with greater confidence and clarity.

How does it work and where do we start?

After making a conscious and motivated decision to make the necessary changes to live life in their most resourceful state, a complimentary introductory coaching session can be scheduled to assess our coaching compatibility and the coaching opportunity. For the coaching clients motivated to transform their lives and where there is a mutual coach-client connection, an in-depth coaching engagement will be proposed for a period of 3, 6 or 12 months depending on the coaching intervention required.

The first area of focus of the Executive Coaching or Mentoring journey is to complete the online Herrmann Brain Dominance Instrument (HBDI®) 116 questions to assess the degree to which your thinking preferences process information within the four quadrants of the Whole Brain® Model (see below). As a certified HBDI® practitioner I will debrief your profile and provide insight into how differently you value certain types of information, resulting in a deep self-awareness of your thinking preferences and how that impacts the relationships and communication with those you interact with each day.

In the Executive Coaching programme, we will delve deeper into the Whole Brain® Thinking applications explicitly designed to improve productivity and communication in the workplace. These applications will help you be most productive and thrive in the workplace as it optimises your ability to understand and adapt to the differences in each person’s decision-making and communication style within a given situation.

When collaborating, communicating and influencing those you spend most of your working day with, understanding the thinking preferences of how your boss, colleagues and customers are thinking, is a significant competitive advantage to succeed in the workplace.

Becoming conscious of your thinking preferences and understanding different thinking styles will allow you to be more at ease with yourself and more perceptive and effective with people who think and communicate differently. This in itself can resolve a variety of misunderstandings, miscommunications, and other interpersonal challenges within the workplace.

With this self-awareness of dominant thinking preferences in place, we identify the coaching landscape, including the clients’ present state (complete with symptoms and causes), their desired state (including the outcomes and effects), and finally, the resources they need to achieve their desired outcome on a personal level and a specific well-formed outcome in their professional lives.

The coaching process proceeds to focus the client on healing and to clear their current subconscious limiting beliefs/meta-programs, troubling emotions/concepts, or external reference experiences preventing them from achieving their defined outcome.Once the clearing and healing process has been completed, personal transformation can begin by awakening and aligning a new way of being through meta-stating empowering beliefs and feelings.

Resources and inspired action plans, taken from an elevated emotion, align to realise a new compelling, unlimited desired outcome.
